Zoo Boo!!!

**This is my 5th post today!!!…I promise it will be my last…just playing a little catch up I guess!!**

Last Friday we took the kiddos to the Zoo Boo at the Memphis Zoo.  My camera died right after we go there so I didn’t get too many good pictures so these will have to do!

Elijah thought that climbing the rock wall at Zoo Boo was a good idea…well it wasn’t…he didn’t get very far up that wall until he let go and slowly came back down.  He tried again…with no success.  And again…no success.  Oh well at least he is up to trying new things!!

Ok that is all my posts for tonight.  I am sure I will come up with a Wordless Wednesday for tomorrow…not sure yet though.

Pumpkin Patch #2

And since on my last post I didn’t include ANY pictures of the kids actually picking their pumpkins at the pumpkin patch..here ya go…and some pictures of the “maze” too!

Pumpkin Patch!!

If you read my True Story Tuesday post you know that my family and I went to a pumpkin patch on Sunday.  I took some really cute pictures of the kids dressed up in their fall outfits.   Here are my favorites:

Don’t you just LOVE Kirsten’s bow??? My friend (since I was like in 3rd grade) Kaycee made it for me…she owns her own bow business called Prissy Miss Boutique.  You should definitely check her out if you have little girls of your own!

We really did have a great time at the pumpkin patch!!! We are thankful that God allowed us to find it and spend the day as a family!

Dear Headache,

Dear Headache,

Have you not plagued me long enough? I mean c'mon you have taken up residency in my head for almost a week now and might I add that this residency came without my permission. I understand that you like to come during "mother nature" time, but "mother nature" time has been over for 4 days now and yet you still linger on and on and on.

Can I please get a break Mr. (or mrs.) headache? I have lots of school work, regular work, and moving my office to do!

I am not sure how much longer I can handle you and your residency. Please consider moving homes immediately.

If needed, I will take desperate measures such as seeing the doctor to "evict" you from my head. Please do not make me do this as it is costly for me and not fun for you.

So, Mr. (or Mrs.) Headache, Please leave my head (this instant) on your own accord!

Sincerely,

The woman you have been torturing for 6 days!

P.S. There is no need to leave a forwarding address!

True Story Tuesday

This is my first week playing along with True Story Tuesday but man what a Sunday I had, so I just had to tell you all about it!

Sunday started out as a normal day..actually it was an exceptionally swell day because my hair was working PERFECTLY for me :) (you know those days when your hair does exactly what you want it to do and doesn't give you any grief??) So my sweet family and I got up, got ready, went to church as usual and went home. We quickly changed into our fall themed outfits (yes this was MY idea) and we went off to eat. Earlier in the week I had researched different pumpkin patches and fun farms to take the kids to. I found one that was about an hour from our house but looked really fun. It even had GREAT reviews!

So after lunch we headed off to find the "pumpkin patch". When we were almost to the road the pumpkin patch was on, I remembered that I didn't have any cash and neither did my loving husband...so I make him find an atm. Oh and did I mention that we are literally in the middle of NOWHERE...so we had to turn around (take backroads, almost hit a deer) and find the nearest town with an ATM. It took us about 20-25 minutes to do this.

We get the money and go back to where we are supposed to be, turn down the road, go all the way until it dead ends and realize that we didn't see the "pumpkin patch" at all. So hubby turns back around and we drive really really slow to find the correct address, thinking we just missed it somehow.

We find the correct address and see what these people call a "fun family farm" and a "pumpkin patch". It literally looked like something off the chainsaw massacre!!! And even if it was open, which it wasn't, I would have never taken my kids there!

I am pretty irritated at this point. (Wouldn't you have been?)

So off we go back to our house (oh and did I mention that our GPS was not working at all?!?) Hubby misses our first turn and takes the next one thinking it will take us to the same place...WRONG!

We end up on a road that is forever long...BUT just as we were about to turn around..we see a sign for "Uncle Tom's Family Farm" which was another pumpkin patch I had researched. We zip in there and finally get to pick pumpkins, play, and go through a corn maze. We also find out while there that we are only 20 minutes from our house!!

Wow..what a Sunday.

Head on over to Once Upon A Miracle for more true stories!

Honeymoon!

***WARNING THIS IS GOING TO BE A LONG POST AND FULL OF PICTURES***

So where to start??  Hmm..We got married on Saturday October 10th at 2 p.m.  The wedding was amazing and I could not have asked for more.  We attended our reception where you do all the normal things…eat, drink, be merry, dance.  Then we left the reception and headed to Mt. Juliet, TN where we stayed the night in a hotel.  We got up Sunday morning, had a great breakfast at Cracker Barrel (one of my fav breakfast places) and then headed into Gatlinburg, TN where we would be spending the rest of our honeymoon.

106

Gatlinburg and the Smoky Mountains are so amazingly beautiful.  Seeing God’s creations was truly breathtaking.

255

We did lots of sightseeing while on our honeymoon…We saw turkeys…

006

and horses….

526

We saw a lot of deer but none of them were really close enough for us to take very good pictures of.  We spent a day at the Gatlinburg aquarium.  I have so many pictures from there, I wish I could post them all but I don’t think you guys would appreciate that..so here are a few of my favorite from the aquarium.

031

Sting ray…

057

Lots of pretty fish…

089

Big ugly catfish…

168

Sharks…

215

Gigantic Crabs…

231

Us with a swordfish in the background. Lol.

We also went to Asheville, NC to see the Biltmore Estate.  It was so beautiful.  The weather was a perfect fall day and Noah and I had the best time being with each other and enjoying every minute of it.

275

274

281

I wish I could show you the inside of the house but they do not allow pictures inside of the house.  The house has 250 rooms and 99 of those are bedrooms!! It is like 175,000 square feet!! If you have never been, I highly suggest you go.  It is worth the drive!!

334

Eating a yummmy pastry in the court yard of the Biltmore Estate.

We visited the winery while at the Biltmore..it was so much fun too! I just can’t stress to you how much fun we had!  It was such a blessing to be able to go on this trip with my husband.  I thank God for everything he has blessed us with!

409

424

Above is where they fermented the wine…it was neat to see the process.  We bought 3 bottles of the Biltmore Estate wine so save as a souvenir.

We also did a little put put golfing while in Gatlinburg.

304

307

We saw a dinner show called the Black Bear Jamboree.  It was so funny.  We loved it very much and were surprised at the fact that it was a Christian show.  We loved it even more then because there just aren’t many of those around anymore!

425

426

We did a little bit of driving through the mountains and taking pictures too.

091

186

518

I have over 600 pictures from our honeymoon and really wish I could share them all with you but that would make for one really long post. ha ha.

Here are some pictures of the cabin we stayed in.

Rehearsal & A tad of Wedding!

I know you have been waiting and waiting for some wedding pictures…well maybe not but here they are anyways.  These are just the pictures that I have on my camera so it isn’t much.  I will have my professional pictures soon (I hope!)

452

On Friday, I had such a long day.  It rained and rained and when you thought it could not rain anymore…it rained some more..ugh!  So I had TONS of errands to run and my hair ended up a mess…oh well.  We had a nice rehearsal and then a good dinner at one of my favorite places, The Silver Caboose located in the town I live in.

454

Leroy (left, my father in law) and Dennis (right, my daddy) practicing the lighting of the unity candle.  We decided to have the fathers light the candles instead of the mothers for a couple of reasons.  I have a mom and step-mom, which would have made for a difficult situation, and the fathers are the leaders of the family, so they should light the candle that is symbolic of our families.

Here are  few pictures from the wedding..like I said..I don’t have many.

479

My sister helping me with my earrings.

487

Cute toes in my wedding shoes.

484

Kirsten, my flower girl, who also happens to be my beautiful daughter, helping me put my shoes on.  It was so cute, she brought them to me and asked me if it was time to put on the “cinderella” shoes.  :)

490

Me and my Maid of Honor, Samantha..isn’t she beautiful??

493

Me with my beautiful babies before the wedding.  Now maybe I am biased but they have got to be the cutest kids ever :)

wedding party

The entire Bridal Party.  From Left to Right: Lesley (Bridesmaid), Christian (Usher), Samantha (Maid of Honor), Cori (Bride), Noah (Groom), Leroy (Best Man), Parker (Groomsman), Bradley (Usher), Elijah (Ringbearer) and Kirsten (Flower girl).

We had a lovely day.  There was only one hangup the whole time and that was that my unity candle would not light.  The wick on the main candle was too short and would not light.  We laughed it off and it really added some humor to our wedding.

It rained all week and all day before our wedding but our wedding day was a cool 63 degrees with no rain.  It was a little overcast but never rained a drop.  I just loved every bit of it! All the months of planning and hours I put into it was WELL worth it!  Thanks to everyone for all your wishes of luck!! We had the perfect day and ultimately we thank Jesus Christ our savior for such a great day.

I can’t wait to post all the professional pictures!!
